The ninth Symposium on Turbulence and Shear Flow Phenomena (TSFP-9), will be held in Melbourne, Australia, from June 30 to July 3, 2015, hosted by the University of Melbourne.
Call for abstractsAuthors are invited to submit an extended abstract consisting of a maximum of two pages (A4 or letter) of text, and, where appropriate, an additional one page (maximum) of figures and tables. The deadline for abstract submission is 31 July 2014, extended to 15 August 2014. The extended abstract can be prepared using any convenient style format. Authors can also use the TSFP-9 paper template as a guide for preparing their abstract.

TSFP-9 provides the opportunity to report new discoveries and developments in the fundamental and applied research on turbulence and shear flow phenomena. Apart from traditional focal points, such as DNS, LES, turbulence closures and experiments, the organisers of TSFP-9 wish to give particular emphasis to the following topics:
|Instability and transition to turbulence||Advanced techniques for turbulence measurements|
|Modelling and simulation of complex flows||Turbulence and heat/mass transfer control|
|Turbulence in reacting and multiphase systems||Plasma and MHD turbulence|
|Noise generation and fluid-structure interaction||Biological, biomedical and clinical flows|
|Environmental, geophysical and compressible turbulence|
The following persons have been invited to deliver keynote lectures at TSFP-9:
